Data Drives Destinations

Destinations are a hot topic at the Hotel Data Conference, and no one knows them better than Brittany Baldwin, STR’s Director of Business Development, Destinations. Brittany, a regular HDC presenter, works closely with CVBs, DMOs, and other destination-related organizations. She is responsible for leading the growth and business development of STR’s destination market for North America.

Her expertise on destinations combined with her spunky personality makes her a presenter you don’t want to miss. Hear her destinations presentation at the 2015 Hotel Data Conference:

Presentation: Completing the Destination Data Puzzle

Presenter: Brittany Baldwin

When: August 5, 2015 from 3:30 to 4:30pm

This presentation will be broken down into two parts. For the first 30 minutes, Brittany will discuss trending destination data from across the country as well as how attendees can use destination data to create action points to accomplish their unique goals. This will be more in-depth than in years past. Note: If you are new to HDC or the destination lingo, consider attending the Data 101: Digesting the Alphabet Soup session earlier in the day to get a basic understanding of hotel metrics.

The second half of the presentation will be a panel discussion. The panel will address the dynamics of new hotel supply and how DMOs, meeting planners and hotel owners can meet their own objectives while looking out for a market’s best interests.

HDC isn't just about numbers! While you're in Nashville, experience some of the best eats and live music in the country! Brittany recommends walking down Broadway and visiting a honky tonk or two. Check local listings such as for special events and concerts happening in Nashville. To discover a new restaurant, she recommends checking out for a list of locally-owned eateries.

Fun fact! Brittany was a competitive dancer for 15+ years and has clogged on the Grand Ole Opry.

If you are a DMO or CVB, don’t miss hearing Brittany’s destination presentation at HDC in August.
